I believe each person possesses the innate wisdom and ability to uncover meaning and solutions within themselves and ultimately heal. We will be co-collaborators in this process; your internal wish to heal will be our guide. My approach is relational, warm, and non-judgmental. I draw from various modalities, integrating person-centered, attachment, psychodynamic and somatic therapy into the work as needed. I rely on humor as I believe laughter is transformational, cathartic and connective. I am flexible and responsive, working intuitively to best serve you and help foster a space for genuine healing, growth, and self-understanding.

For many years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting young people (18 and up) as they transition into adulthood; a life phase I feel profoundly connected to. I also support individuals and couples as they grapple with attachment wounds, trauma, shame, self-worth, identity, chronic pain and illness, bereavement, transitions, anxiety, depression, and end-of-life care.

Together we will create a safe place for you to explore hurt, shame, loss and whatever else unfolds. This process of exploration and uncovering will help release old wounds and patterns, foster trust in self, and empower you to define your own path forward.

Beyond my role as therapist I am a mother and a jazz singer. I love to laugh, hike, dance, read, drink tea and knit. These practices help me stay balanced and connected.

It would be my honor to share in your path toward healing, self-discovery and meaning making.

I offer therapy in a lovely, light-filled office in Housatonic, MA, or online via zoom. I’m available weekdays and some evenings.

I am in network for Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also work out of network. My fee is $150 for individuals and $225 for couples. I also provide sliding scale on a case by case basis.

Are you feeling a lack of fulfillment or too much stress in some aspect of your life? Have you been struggling with feelings of depression or anxiety? Or are you coping with a big loss or life transition that has shaken your foundation causing you to feel overwhelmed? I believe that increased awareness about our own unique mixture of vulnerabilities can show us the skills we need to develop so we can thrive. Through therapy, verbalizing our conflicts in innovative ways can help us gain a richer perspective that can lead to new outcomes and lasting change.

I am a skilled empathic listener often helping those I work with to utilize their major life transitions for generating healthier outcomes. People like my warm authentic style of respectful questioning and honest feedback. I work with individuals, families, couples and young adults. As we take steps together I will endeavor to help you regain your wisdom and feel empowered to live the life you want.

My background is in person-centered therapy, bringing unconditional positive regard for clients with the knowledge that they are inherently whole with a natural capacity for growth and change. I use a core vulnerability approach to help people understand the role of defense mechanisms and mindfulness based approach to offer an understanding of why we suffer and how to ameliorate it. I also help clients understand how multiple vulnerabilities can impact their lives, especially in times of stress. Informed by clients’ needs and goals I utilize a variety of approaches: mindfulness modalities such as EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction as well as expressive therapies; psychodynamic; cognitive therapy and motivational interviewing. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, divorce and separation, intimacy and relationships, parenting, substance use and trauma.
